Featuring Dr. Ravinder Arceo

Hello, my name is Ravinder Arceo and I’m from Southern California. My story started when I wanted to see what the pharmacy world was all about a few years after I graduated high school. I worked part-time at Wells Fargo as a teller and attended Moorpark College earning my BA. I decided to look for a part-time position in a pharmacy as well so I applied and got hired as a clerk at Savon. I worked both jobs for about 6 months while attending college then decided to further pursue the field of pharmacy. I quit my job as a teller and continued to work at Savon while working on my pre-requisites for pharmacy school at CSUN after obtaining my BA at Moorpark College. I got my pharmacy technician license and worked as a tech for about 7 months before I got accepted to Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy in the fall of 2006.

I started working at Walgreens as a pharmacy intern my first year of school and continued to work there for 8 years before leaving the company as a pharmacist and went to work at an independent closed door hospice pharmacy in Orange County. I worked there for a year and learned so much about hospice, independent pharmacy and closed door procedures. I then left a little after a year because I wanted to be closer to my family in Ventura county. I worked for another independent pharmacy for about 6 months before getting hired by Walmart pharmacy as a part-time pharmacist where I still work today, it will be 6 years this October. I love that I can work part-time and still raise my two girls with my husband and have a healthy happy family life while doing what I love as a pharmacist.
